Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Love it! Love it! Love it! Everything about it! The trailer, your lifestyle, all of it.

You decorate with my style -- colorful and cheerful! I currently camp in a bright yellow T@B teardrop, but grew up camping with my family in travel trailers. I would love to "live" on the road some day, although I don't know about the hubby. lol. We have two enrolled at a university who travel often with Campus Crusade and work on their Summer Projects. We also have a sr. in high school, and I assist my elderly mother. So...maybe some day.

You've inspired me to paint the walls of my T@B some day. Your paint has great coverage. Do you mind sharing what brand you use? I would also like to hang frames and such on the walls, but so far have stayed with items I can hang with velcro.

I haven't made it through much of your blog yet, but I'll get there. God Bless!

Hi Janssens! I love your blogs!
I've read almost every entry.
Kind of curious about something.
You brag about how nice it is not having a mortgage payment but surely you have an RV payment?
I was looking on e-bay for similar rigs and was astounded by the prices! I know Matt can get a good deal on stuff but even if he got it for 1/2 price that's still not the kind of pocket change most people just have lying around.
So, how could you afford the rig outright or how do you get payments?
thanks!

My Fiance and I (we're getting married in september) have been simplifying our lives in a small cabin in the uinta mountains, summit county UT. We hike or ski to our house in the wintertime, when the roads close, and are just surrounded by beautiful wildlife year round. My mom has recently moved her entire life into a small fifth wheel. It is such a wonderful way to live! she sometimes brings the fifth wheel to the cabin to visit for a few days. If you ever make your way to UT feel free to contact us!

Hello adventurers!
I have been wanting to "live on the road" with my kids during their summer vacations for a while and your blog has really opened my eyes to how attainable that is! My kids are 6 and 4 and I feel an urgency to do it while they're young, but I am also nervous about the expense of buying the RV. We've thought about converting a school bus, but I've heard that many camp sites don't like "hippie buses", which makes me sad. Hopefully in the next year or two we will somehow make our dream a reality! I think it's so great that your kids are getting this experience. It is SO GOOD for them to be meeting new people and having new experiences all the time. I can't tell you how much I want that for my family! Thanks for inspiring us all! Happy trails!

hello! my husband & i just discovered your blog through some new long-distance friends, arian & daniel armstrong. we are currently living in portland, oregon, but have been considering a full-time touring life for several years, since we frequently travel for my husband's music anyway & have never owned a home. we have a daughter, heron selah, age two, and a son, shepherd zuri, age 4 months. the discovery of your blog has been inspirational, & we are now considering RVing it, for real! i'm sure we will be contacting your husband in the coming weeks with questions on where to begin looking for a portable home. in the meantime, here's my husband's music website: www.joshgarrels.com

thanks for the inspiration!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blogs! :) My husband and I are currently working on our 3-yr plan to get on the road working and full timing....we can't wait! Your blogs are so inspiring and happy...makes me smile just reading them. Looking forward to meeting many new people, exploring our beautiful country and trying new things. Like hooping! I've always enjoyed the simple fun of a regular hoop and had no idea it could be beautiful and fluid. Like I said, inspiring. Take care and happy travels. Hope to see you on the road!

WOW! I am super excited for you guys! My husband and I have talked about living a simplier, more missional life. We love the idea of packing the 4 kids in a travel trailer and sharing the Good News! Thanks for the push in the right direction!

what a great site. i wish i had discovered rving when my girls were little. at 16 and 12 they has no desire to leave their friends and schools. i have a question about painting. we have a class A also and im trying to convince my honey that we should paint the walls. he is a LOT more conservative than i am and it makes him nervous to make changes. my question is ..did you do extra work to prep the wall because of the faux wallpaper? or just prime and paint? i really want to paint as im not a white wall person and hearing from someone who has done it would ease my honeys worries.
again thanks for the site, it is one of my favorite online spots

Hi Jansens!

My husband and I just decided to live in an RV full time, and I thought, "We can't be the first people to think of this". And now, through my remarkable google-fu skills, I found you all. I'm finding myself very inspired by your journeys. If you are in Virginia before the end of September or in Southern California September-December look us up! We love backyard worship sessions. We're just starting the RV search and would love to pick your brain. We would love to learn more about greenifying our RV.

Stay Happy!

Hello! I found you off the Bluebirdbaby blog and have to check in every few days to see what you are up to...it's so much fun checking in and getting a little glimpse into your fun lives.

Today, Memorial Day, I was particularly excited to see that you are in Minnesota. I live in Minneapolis with my husband and love it here! It's fun to see that you met here too.

Happy travels to you all!

I strictly recommend not to hold back until you get big sum of cash to buy all you need! You can just take the loans or commercial loan and feel yourself free

Hello! My husband was looking at a forum and came across your blog- we are trying to live simpler lives. What really caught our eye, though, is that I am a Montana native, who now lives in West Des Moines, IA! When we saw that you live in Bozeman, we thought, well, we'll have to check this out! Then, amazingly, we saw that you are in West Des Moines, a few blocks from our house! What a small world- thought you'd get a chuckle out of that!

Maybe it's just because I'm looking for these connections, but it does seem wonderfully strange that so many more people around the globe are moving towards more meaningful measures in their lives. It is inspirational to read your blog. Thank you.

I did the weirdest thing. My blog is very new, and I decided to start linking: I would start with my friend's blog and from there link to another and from there to another...until I came to yours. By then it was way past the witching hour, so off to the land of Nod...much like now.

Hello Happy Janssens,
I just came across your site, and i must say this is amazing. The way you are living life to the fullest is just incredible. I loved ur site absolutely. And those are two adorable angels you have. Have a great and happy life ahead. I will keep reading your blog

May 21, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMithun Nair

hello happy janssens.. I loved reading every page of your blog. It took me awhile, but wow, you guys and others living on the road are so inspiring .. I think I am a nomad as well, but for now I'm sticking close to home. I am the mom of two girls, like you, and I have another baby on the way. I hope to show them all the amazing people and places all over north America. I am actually in bc Canada, and I wonder if you've ever thought of coming up here to see the sights? They don't call it "the best place on earth" for nothing :) I recommend going to see vancouver island and the gulf islands, as well as the Kootenays in the interior.. there is a whole lotta granola munchers around these parts! ;)
Safe travels, and you can park you RV in front of my house in Kaslo if you come through,
Jaz

Hi! A friend of mine left your blog address on a post I made on my blog yesterday, and I just LOVE everything I've seen here! I'm so thrilled to be able to read about people who live on the road...I think I'll end up spending way too much time perusing!!!

~Kayla Custer

May 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKayla

wow! have just spent far too much time perusing your websites, reading bits and pieces here and there and loving your stories...(all in perusing current blogs to get inspired to start a new one i committed to weeks ago but have yet to begin)

bless you for sharing your lives...

this "accidental" finding is of course timely...there's been a brewing going on deep within and just stated 2 weeks ago to husband "let's sell it all, buy a nice rv and go...go pray, go heal, go see, go meet....".

last night we were talking and praying with friends about them taking off in their bus within a few short weeks and the brewing within me grew quite a bit...

now, after becoming more stirred by your family, i want both: our current land to be a stopping grounds of sorts for rv'ers and a base for us and for us to go, go, go...

thanks again for the inspiration....

p.s. three more cool connections: i desire the dreads, we so totally are lovers of Jesus and we home/unschool...

I just found your site, what an inspiration. I'm a disabled vet struggling to keep my home in today's economy. I'm considering full-timing; it has always been a dream of mine. Thanks for allowing us to follow along with you as you travel the country!
