Crossing Paths
In December 2008, we sold one of our RV's to Kevin and Annmarie Gianni...they flew into Bozeman and we hung out for the day, teaching them a little about life on the road before they set out on their own nationwide tour.
Today, our paths crossed again...this time in Phoenix, AZ. It was so fun to reconnect, hear their stories from these past 15 months and to see our old RV again!
Kevin and Annmarie host The Renegade Health Show...which focuses mostly on natural living and raw foods, along with a few other fun things. The show is GREAT, and if you are interested in healthy living at all, you need to be watching their show. Matt and I love it. I also love Kevin's book, High Raw. If you've ever been curious about raw foods, but didn't know where to start, check it out. There is a free eBook version here.
Annmarie also just launched a new skin care line and she gave me some samples to try out. I am pretty skeptical when it comes to using "products"...but OH. MY. WORD. I am loving it. Such yummy stuff. Totally organic and natural. So natural that she said I could eat it if I so desired :) I'll be posting more about them on Walk Slowly soon...
It was strange to see our old RV with their stuff in it! :) Shout out to Johnny 5, the kitty cat. They are creating an i door container garden in the living room area...can't wait to see it all "grown up". We get questions about how to do a garden on the road a lot, so here is one option.
I made a video with them as well...they shared with me their very favorite places in the U.S...along with tips for those who have dreams of a traveling lifestyle. Check it out!

Oh!!! You two such lovely couples!!! Sara thank you thank you thank you for sharing, for this new blog, I´ve been waiting for it a lot! Thank you so much for everything you give me :)
Cool meet up Sara! Loved the interview. :)
Oooooh lovely couple!!! Thanks Sara!
Totally loving the video interviews!
I love his comment about the parachute. We've totally found that to be SO true! Doors opened that we would never have imagined. I've really begun to trust that following Joy provides a way to follow your Joy.
Question totally unrelated to this post....
Do you give Bella a daily vitamin? If so, would you mind to share which one and at what age you began to use it?
Thanks in advance.
Susan
Susan...right now she is taking Super Nutrition for Kids (swallowable), a calcium supplement and fish oil. With an occasional added vitamin C. We've done Nordic Naturals in the past...and a variety of other kinds. I don't even remember when I started those...around 3 maybe? When she wasn't nursing all the time.
Lucy is looking out from that picture like she's wishing she had my finger to chew on again.... <3
RV gardening! Brilliant!!!
Loved this post! I have been thinking about this for a while but just now asking. What runs through my mind is the money. I would love to do this. My husband and I have always talked about it. We do what we can on his 7 days off once per month. We also hs. So the only thing holding us back is money. Do you just save enough before taking off or do you find ways to work from the road? Oh yes and also do most of you sell your home and just have the RV. Or do you have both? Sorry for all the questions. I would just love to know. Oh yeah and I wanted you to know your name and blog link came up on a naturals mommy fourm over a year ago as one of the best blogs to follow. I have been following you guys from then on. You have such a beautiful family. :)

Cat...I answer the money question on our FAQs page. Regarding a house, most people I know that travel full time have gotten rid of the house, but some still keep it to rent out. Especially if they couldn't sell it in today's housing market. Thanks for reading!
Thank you for taking the time to paot back. I know you must be so busy with all the questions you guys get. I loved the FAQs. Also the how did you get your hair like that? I have always thought dreads were cute. If only they could look like the your the first day you get them. I have been working on my dh. He is still not sure that he will like them. Loking at your photos made me wonder what they feel like and are they comfy? Well cant wait to see you guys next stop...

I wanted to tell Tiffani that I thought Lucy was looking out like that because she really wished her Nana was there! :)
I wish we had the sorts of jobs that could be taken on the road. My husband is a professor at a university, so he teaches 9 months out of the year, then he does field work in the summer (ok, this will be the first summer). We're trying to figure out how to get all of us 2000 miles to the field work, and how my son and I will be able to stay (and perhaps bring our cats with us). We thought maybe getting an RV could be a solution, but we'd have no place to keep it the other 9 months!
I've spent years wishing I weren't so tied to my STUFF. Finding your blog (via Boho Photography!) just made me want the freedom even more. Looks so scary driving those giant RV's though...
Sarah...there are lots of people who only use their RV for a portion of the year. The other part of the year, they just put it in storage. There are many different places who will store your RV for a fee. Check it out :) You can make it happen!!
Hey Sarah-
You mentioned that you are skeptical when it comes to "products" and I was just curious what you use to wash your face. I'm trying to get away from twice a day expensive, organic cleansers and moisturizers..I figure my diet should give me great skin on it's own and that I should be able to gently cleanse it without the "products".
Very fun to see Kevin and Annemarie in your old RV....love their potted garden!
Thanks for the great posts as always!
XO
Niki...
I'm pretty lazy about it. I usually wash with some Dr. Bronner's or some organic bar soap. I LOVE Annmarie's products though!!

Hi Sara,
I love following your blog and adventures!! I have dreamed of "going on the road" for years. Do you know of any large families that are living a nomadic lifestyle? We are a family of nine and I wonder, practically speaking how we could make such an adventure work.
Thanks,
Jessica
Hi Jessica!
Have you been to www.familiesontheroad.com yet? That will be the best place to find families (and yes, there are larger families!) that travel.

Hi Sara, I was just wonderning what video camera you use?
Shannon...for this one we used a FlipCam (non-HD). Love it! I also use the video feature on my iPhone and the video on my Macbook Pro.
